Feb. 3rd, 4th, & 5th: Squirts Hockey Tournament

FROSTY (secret identity) Contest sponsord by Culligan of Waseca.
MEDALLION HUNT sponsored by Waseca HY-VEE; Waseca County News; Main Street Broadcasting KOWZ & KRUE Radio; Charlie's Hardware.

Feb. 9th:

  • Old Fashioned Ice Harvest and Ice Boating - sponsored by Waseca Historical Society
        and Farmamerica - FREE - open to area schools and the general public 9:30 to 2:30.
        Ice is "preserved" and used on the July 4th.
  • Ice Tolt demonstration on Clear Lake provided by Waterville Icelandic Horse Club.
  • Dog sled exhibition.

    Feb. 10th:

  • Children's coloring contest - sponsored by Waseca Arts Council exhibited at the Waseca VFW Club.
  • Dinner at Waseca VFW Club 5:00 - 7:30.
  • Free dance starts at 8:30.
  • Archery Contest (paper animal targets) at Waseca County Fairgrounds, start at 5:30, sponsored by

  • Announce Frosty winner at 9:30.

    Feb. 11:

  • Parade at 1:00, Grand Marshal: St. Paul Winter Carnival Royalty and Miss Waseca County
        Sleigh and Cutter Queen Heather Schnepf.
  • Parade attractions: JESSE JAMES GANG: Cannon Old West Society; Dakota Rose and 80+ horse units.
  • Annual Diabetes Golf Tournament sponsored by Thompson's Boat House 507-835-2419.
  • Senior Citizens card tournament 9 to 11 am (Public Invited) and lunch.
  • Waseca Archery Club will be open for parade attendees.
  • Dart Tournament and Texas Hold'um at The Chance Bar, 507-835-7211.
  • Best dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl at the Box Car Bar, 507-835-5136.
  • Performance all day Saturday by The Cannon Old West Society and Dakota Rose's Entertainment Group.
  • Mayor's Choice Award - $50 to each division (Draft hitch and Open)
  • Free hot lunch served to parade participants after the parade.

    Feb. 12:

  • Gospel Fest performances.
  • MINNESOTA Snowmobile Drag Racing Series, contact Tony Kruger 507-835-5465 or 507-461-0177
  • Free youth (ages 14 and under) ice fishing event in front of Thompson's Boathouse on Clear Lake.
        Registration is at 12:30 and fishing is from 1:00 till 2:30. Sponsored by Southern Minnesota Darkhouse
